In the end of 2025 something very exciting happened. We were fortunate to win the Wim Bary Stipendium from Het Cultuurfonds. This prize is awarded every two years to theatremakers with a small but promising body of work.

We’re incredibly proud! Next to a beautiful statuette, we received 7.500 euros and some encouraging words:

“According to the jury, the creative duo demonstrates that they are among the most innovative voices in mime: their performances are not only technically strong, but also immerse the audience in a rich visual universe. Their work is visually stunning; cinematic without a camera and poetic without words. In addition, DeRonde/Deroo are now going to produce a youth production for the first time, which will bring a special depth to their work. Their development leaves us wanting more.”
